My Setup

I am lucky enough to have a second computer on-hand on which I can mess around. Since this is my mess-around computer I installed a removeable drive bay on it; this allows me to try out different OSes by simply buying a new HD. This way I don't have to concern myself with bootloaders and all that stuff, to try out or run a different OS simply power down, install the correct HD, and boot up again -- only slightly more work than rebooting to switch OSes. This scheme also has the added advantage of putting my mind at rest; if I'm messing around a lot on the computer, I don't have to worry about accidently wiping out something important on another already-installed OS.

Since this is a second computer, I still have my primary computer onto which I have downloaded MINIX. I use this computer to prepare the install floppies.
