Chapter 8. 13h30 - Building Murphy Compatible Embedded Linux Systems

Building Murphy Compatible Embedded Linux Systems
Gilad Ben-Yossef

Someday I hope to understand why I attend any talk that has the word "embedded" in the title. Yet another person plays with an embedded device, finds that it's a little different than playing with an x86 desktop and decides to write a paper and present a talk about it. Wait! Hold the press! He wrote a couple shell scripts to help configure the devices?! Well, break out the party hats!

In no way am I saying that the talk was bad, it's just that I've been doing embedded Linux development for the last 3-4 years now (as of 2005) so "Intro to Embedded Linux" talks like these are very boring to me. But because I feel bad walking out on anyone during their presentations I sit there and waste my time instead :-).
