1.1. Date and Version

I started writing this paper on the 26th of August 2003. The kernel code used in the first draft refers to version 2.4.22, the binutils code came from binutils-1.4. Today being the 11th of October 2006 I have updated this document to be more current. This version refers to kernel 2.6.18, all the code has been re-run, the output has been updated, binutils 2.15.94.0.2.2 and gcc 4.0.0.
